Before I say anything, I have to really drive one point home: I am a huge advocate for making fall last as long as possible.
AKA, Christmas doesn’t start until December 1st.
Not after Thanksgiving, definitely not after Halloween… December 1st.
But, there is one exception, which is why I’m here. One teeny, little area where I do get ahead of myself: my Christmas list.
I wrote in my last article that I’ve had mine complete and sent out since October (which is true), and that information brought some requests to share items on my wishlist with you guys.
To that I say, it would be my pleasure!
Here are some items I want this year, and maybe you will, too. Some are specific, some are general… take what you want and leave behind what you don’t.
This carryall tote from Free People - a lot of my friends are in college, grad school or about to enter the working world (eek!), which means it’s either time to upgrade to a more stylish backpack or seek out the perfect work tote. Well, look no further! I’ve heard this bag is pretty much bottom-less and also extremely durable. And… there are 8 colors! I’m eyeing “Lapis Blue” but, that’s just me.
Homesick candles - I’ve spoken about these candles before and I’ll speak about them again; they’re my absolute favorite. Candles are the type of item I want for a gift because I can’t always justify buying them for myself. Homesick’s “Home Office” candle smells heavenly AND all of their products last for a reaalllyyy long time.
The RealReal gift card - when I tell you there are 50+ items on my wishlist, I’m serious. The RealReal is my first stop whenever I decide to virtually window shop, hence the desire for a gift card.
LOTS of makeup - should I do a post on makeup alone? I just might. My Sephora list is quite extensive, but who can blame me. I’m eager to get my hands on products from brands I’ve heard rave reviews about but yet to try… Kosas, Tower28 and Rare Beauty to name a few. It’s shameful!
Bathing suits - super random… or is it?
This is how my cyclical, bathing suit debacle always goes:
Me: sees bathing suit sales in winter, thinks “it’s winter, who’s buying a bathing suit?”, does not buy bathing suits, weather warms up, goes to buy new bathing suits, they’re too expensive, ends up buying cheap, ill-fitting bathing suits because did not take advantage of winter sales.
See what I’m getting at? I’m planning ahead this year and I’m asking for nice, higher quality, more expensive bathing suits… when summer rolls around, I’ll be ready. Some places I’m requesting from are Aerie, Triangl, and Roxy.
Book of the Month subscription - I got this for Christmas last year, so this year I’m asking for a renewal. BOTM has absolutely stretched the genres of books I read; for example, my most recent pick was a family oriented thriller. This one is for my book worms, or those, like me, that are trying to grow their personal library.
Papier products - I trust a person based on how many empty journals they have lying around. Well, that isn’t totally true, but can’t we all relate to having random journals and diaries that are half filled then never to be used again? This Christmas, I’m asking for more. I’ve actually done a good job of diligently filling planners and notebooks alike recently, so I’m trying to keep the habit going. In style, of course.
Etsy mugs - Pinterest experienced a revival, and I think Etsy will be next. I’ve been obsessed with the site since I was in middle school, so when I went back on to poke around, it was like reuniting with an old friend. MARSHMELLOWSTORE specifically has the coolest, most unique mugs and vases; they’re great for your own list or to gift to a friend.
New slippers - I swear I need a new pair of slippers every year, so this Christmas I’m asking for some high quality ones. I didn’t put any specific pair on my list, but Nordstrom’s slipper options are endless.
Jewelry - okay so, I know just saying “jewelry” is so vague, but at this point I have my staple pieces and I want to mix it up. I don’t have exact items on my list, but I have certain brands I’m interested in: ALV Jewels, gorjana and obviously, Madewell.
Those are my contributions to your Christmas list, but if for some reason you’re still stumped, Glamour and Cosmopolitan both have thorough gift guides that will definitely help! Honored to have assisted you all. My gifts love language is showing.
In my perfect world… these makeup brushes from Westman-Atelier would be at the top of my list, and not almost $600.
Drop the makeup wishlist !!!!
Goals😍😍😍
