in my perfect world... i would live in hailey bieber's bathroom.
yet another HB post. literally not sorry at all.
I have a confession, and it might be my fatal flaw?
I kind of, actually, maybe, like Gwyneth Paltrow.
Blame it on the Iron Man movies, blame it on the time I watched her home tour on the Architectural Digest Youtube channel… I know people have choice words for her, but I’m not one of them.
Now that I got that off my chest, I can explain why I’m spilling my thoughts about her.
Hailey Bieber recently posted a video where Gwyneth was her guest on her hit Youtube series, “Who’s In My Bathroom?”, and it was one of my favorites. Hailey invites a guest (Keke Palmer, The Kid LAROI, and EmRata have all had their own episode) into her bathroom (bathpalace, honestly), where they eat food, play games and chat about life, love and careers.
As two skincare/wellness gurus, I thought Gwyneth and Hailey were a perfect pair.
But here’s where it got good: the bathroom had just been renovated, and this was its debut.
Or, to be more specific, the constructed set that is meant to be “Hailey’s bathroom,” had been renovated.
It was a collab for the ages, Hailey X Pottery Barn, and you can find every thrilling detail on the Pottery Barn site. But because I think I’m the only person who cares enough to read all about it, I’ll give you the TLDR.
According to Pottery Barn, the challenge was “to infuse warmth and personality into Hailey’s set and create relaxing dressing rooms for resting and recharging between takes.”
So basically, if you have the pleasure of being a guest on HB’s series, you also get to be a guest at her spa-esque green room and set.
The bathroom is now, according to PB, filled with “plush textiles and warm brass finishes,” and they didn’t forget the details - there’s even robes and towels hanging with the Bieber’s initials on them.
It’s a marble and cream, woven chair and beige wall oasis, which explains why I was constantly pausing to take in every design detail.
What I didn’t get to see in the new video was the green room, which is just a cozy extension of the bathroom set. More cream, more plush but also a massive leather sofa that you, too, can buy on Pottery Barn’s site! Queue the Hailey Bieber-fication of at least one loyal watcher’s apartment (it would maybe even be me, if I owned one).
In her Pottery Barn sponsored episode with Gwyneth, both of the women made Paltrow’s favorite “mint chocolate chip smoothie,” which I’m eager to recreate.
I’ll keep you updated on the results… I just need to track down some vanilla hemp milk first.
In my perfect world… I could also have a monogrammed Light Gray Dream Robe hanging in my faux bathroom just for kicks.
Love this ! Quite a redo ! The dream robe sounds so comfy with a touch of silk !
